A Signature Healing Arts Initiative

The Tiffany Project is a therapeutic art initiative created to support individuals and families navigating medical vulnerability, isolation, incarceration, and extended periods of waiting or confinement. Rooted in compassion and lived experience, the program uses creativity as a pathway to emotional wellness and hope.

Program Overview

In partnership with The Brooklyn Twins, Artwalk Presents delivers Love & Joy ArtCare Kits—portable therapeutic art kits designed to support mental and emotional wellness in environments where stress, uncertainty, and isolation are most present. Kits are thoughtfully designed for use in medical, institutional, and community-based settings.

Who We Serve

  • Moms on hospital bedrest, including high-risk pregnancies

  • NICU parents and families of premature or medically fragile babies

  • Siblings, family members, and caretakers of medically vulnerable patients

  • Individuals undergoing medical treatments (including chemotherapy, radiation, or infusions)

  • People with chronic illness, autoimmune disease, or short- and long-term hospital stays

  • Incarcerated individuals in correctional facilities and reentry-focused programs, where access to creative expression supports emotional regulation, reflection, and rehabilitation

Impact

Each Love & Joy ArtCare Kit provides:

  • A calming, accessible creative outlet

  • Emotional expression during isolation or confinement

  • Stress and anxiety reduction

  • Comfort, dignity, and human connection during difficult moments

  • Positivity, encouragement, and moments of joy through creative engagement

How Art Promotes Positivity, Encouragement & Emotional Wellness

Art—both creating and experiencing it—activates the brain’s reward system, releasing dopamine and endorphins that boost mood, reduce stress, and promote a sense of well-being. Through intentional art-making, participants experience:

  • Neurochemical Release

    • Creative engagement stimulates dopamine and endorphins, fostering pleasure, calm, and joy while helping counteract stress and emotional fatigue.

  • Stress Reduction

    • Art lowers cortisol levels and offers a healthy distraction from pain, anxiety, and environmental stressors—particularly in medical and institutional settings.

  • A Sense of Accomplishment

    • Completing an artistic project, regardless of skill level, builds confidence and creativity.

  • Emotional Expression & Regulation

    • Art provides a safe, nonverbal outlet to process emotions, communicate feelings, and regain a sense of control—especially for those with limited autonomy.

  • Empowerment & Encouragement

    • The creative process reinforces agency and resilience, reminding participants of their ability to create something meaningful even in restrictive or challenging circumstances.

  • Human Connection & Hope

    • Art humanizes experiences, reduces stigma, and fosters moments of encouragement, reflection, and emotional relief.

The Tiffany Project spreads Love & Joy through art therapy—one kit at a time.
